Mid-Morning to Afternoon – Game Drive in Tarangire National Park
Enter the park for a full-day game drive
Highlights include:
Huge herds of elephants (Tarangire is known as “The Elephant Playground”)
Iconic baobab trees and seasonal swamps
Wildlife such as lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, and more than 500 bird species
Enjoy wildlife sightings along the Tarangire River, the park’s lifeline during dry season
📸 Photography Tip: Use baobabs for unique framing, and look for elephants crossing the river in golden light.
Lunch – Bush Picnic Inside the Park
Stop at a designated picnic site with restroom facilities
Enjoy a gourmet packed lunch with views of wildlife or the river
Late Afternoon – Return to Arusha
Continue game viewing en route to the park gate
Depart Tarangire around 3:30–4:00 PM
Arrive back in Arusha between 6:30–7:30 PM
