The Ndutu region is best visited from late December to March, when the migration is likely to occur.
This itinerary is designed for travel during these months

Day 1: Arusha – Drive to Ndutu Area (Southern Serengeti / NCAA)

  • After breakfast in Arusha, depart with your driver-guide for the Ndutu region—a key part of the Southern Serengeti ecosystem within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

  • Arrive in Ndutu in time for lunch or an afternoon game drive.

  • Enjoy your first chance to see the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras gather to give birth, followed closely by predators.

Day 2: Full Day in Ndutu – Migration Calving Season Safari

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Return to Arusha

Meals: Breakfast & Lunch

  • Early breakfast and descent into the Ngorongoro Crater—home to nearly 30,000 animals in a unique, closed ecosystem.

  • Enjoy a 5-6 hour game drive on the crater floor, with the chance to spot the Big Five: lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, and elephant.

  • Picnic lunch at the hippo pool or Lerai Forest.

  • After lunch, ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha. Optional airport drop-off for evening flights.
