Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Highlights: Baobab Trees, Elephants, Big Cats, Birdlife
07:30 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in Arusha by our professional guide in a 4×4 safari vehicle. Briefing about the day.
09:30 AM: Arrive at Tarangire National Park, known for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds.
Morning Game Drive: Spot wildlife like elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, lions, leopards, and over 500 bird species.
12:30 PM: Picnic lunch at a scenic site within the park.
Afternoon Game Drive: Explore Tarangire’s varied landscape, including swamps and acacia woodlands. Look out for predators near the Tarangire River.
04:00 PM: Exit the park and drive to your lodge in Karatu (on the way to Ngorongoro).
06:00 PM: Check-in at the lodge. Enjoy a relaxing evening with dinner.
Overnight Stay: Mid-range or luxury lodge in Karatu (e.g., Marera Valley Lodge, Ngorongoro Farm House)
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Highlights: Big Five, Crater Floor, Breathtaking Views
06:00 AM: Early breakfast and depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
07:30 AM: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places to see the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard).
Morning Game Drive: Explore the crater floor – look for hyenas, flamingos at Lake Magadi, and black rhinos if lucky!
12:30 PM: Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool.
01:30 PM: Final game drive and start ascent out of the crater.
03:00 PM: Begin return journey to Arusha.
06:00 PM: Drop-off at your hotel or airport (Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport).
